All the best,

This year marks the 10th anniversary of my daughter and me taking part in the Boo at the Zoo event for some Halloween fun. We both love getting dressed up in costumes (always a mom and daughter theme, š¤) and Quinn loves trick or treating for candy too.

What we love even more is that this is not just a mother daughter tradition but a cousin tradition too! With the busyness of life, we may not see each other as often as weād like, but this is one outing we all faithfully attend donning costumes, smiles and ready for some quality time with family. Iām grateful to have this time with some of my favorite āboos.ā š„°š¤šš

Itās that time of the year where my daughter and I pack in as many fun-filled autumn activities as possible before the cold weather arrives. Today, we had a sweet time with our cousins at Hersheypark.

Though it was jam-packed with people everywhere we turned, I secured my usual role as bag holder, and Quinn and our cousins, Merissa and Ellie, managed to get on quite a few rides. They even did a little trick or treating and received a bag load of Hershey candy from Reeseās cups to Kit Kats.

With the sun shining along with an occasional breeze, it was a perfect amusement park day. Though itās only the first weekend in October, our activities are off to a fantastic start.

All the best,
Tanya

I love playing games, and so does my eleven year old. So when the weather thwarted our outdoor plans, we pivoted with a fun-filled day of playing games indoors. We played Hungry Hippos, Guess Who, Sorry and a few others.

I won some, and Quinn won some, but best of all we both had a winning time together enjoying each otherās company and strategizing on how to out beat the other.

All the best,
Tanya

After a fun-filled summer break, my eleven year old is not only entering sixth grade but wrapping up her last year at her school. Iām happy that sheās excited to meet her new teacher, new classmates and learn along the way.

Though sheās at the same school, I know there will be more transitions and challenges as Quinn gets older and goes through changes, but Iām hopeful that she will encounter teachers and students who are kind and welcoming.

I have a few that Iāll be taking even more ābaby stepsā as her mom, and will try my best to be supportive without being overbearing, allowing her to navigate some situations on her own, knowing that Iām there if she needs me.

Hereās to a wonderful school year where we both grow, feel confident and learn along the way.
All the best,
Tanya

Thereās some friends my daughter doesnāt get to see as often as sheād like during the school year, so itās always nice to squeeze in a play date or two during spring break.

Quinn and Arya have been friends since they were a couple months old, and theyāre still going strong at 11 years old. Quinn also has bonus friends in Aryaās younger sisters.

Zack, our toy poodle, enjoyed having bonus sisters too.

Spending time with friends who are more like family is a nice way to wrap up summer break.
All the best,
Tanya

Canāt have a great summer break without including our furry family member, Zack, in a beach day!

While Zack is not one to get āallā of his fur wet, he enjoyed running in the sand and getting his paws wet with his big sis. We had a great time interacting with other dog families and lovers and definitely hope to go back to Longport Beach before itās too cold.
All the best,

Tanya

Itās officially August, which means summer break will be ending in a few weeks š„ŗ. But before it does, weāre squeezing in some family fun at the Philadelphia Eagles Practice Camp!

Quinn is so excited! š¤ Sheās now seen the Sixers at Wells Fargo Center, the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park Stadium and the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in person! What a great way to start August and wind down summer break!

All the best,
Tanya

We love spending a day at the beach, walking the boardwalk and enjoying a few treats, so it had to be on the list of summer break activities.

An extra special treat with this outing is not only spending the day with my daughter but sister and niece too. š„°

August is almost here, but letās keep the fun-filled summer break going!
All the best,
Tanya

My daughter and Iāve been having a terrific summer break full of adventures, but this weekend was extra special. We donāt get to see extended family as often as weād like, so spending time with them in Washington, DC and exploring the National Museum of African American History and Culture was truly a memorable experience.

There were so many relatives Quinn got to meet for the first time, which put a huge smile on my face and in my heart. Hereās to building more memories with family not only during summer break but year round.

All the best,
Tanya
